Families Are Invited to Boise State Campus For Annual Weekend Sept. 27-29

Boise State University students and their families are invited to attend the 2013 Parent and Family Weekend Sept. 27-29. The event is sponsored by New Student and Family Programs and the Bronco Parent and Family Association, in cooperation with the Division of Student Affairs and many campus partners.

Families may RSVP until 4 p.m. Sept. 20; the deadline to purchase T-shirts is 4 p.m. Sept. 13. More information is at nsfp.boisestate.edu/parents-and-families/weekend.

More than 1,800 guests are expected for the weekend, which includes campus tours, a chili dinner, an evening at Zoo Boise, late night bowling, a game day brunch with the president and deans, seating in the Family Weekend section of Bronco Stadium for the game against Southern Miss (sold out), Zumba on The Blue, Touch the Turf and the annual family hike to Table Rock.

Events are free with registration unless otherwise noted. Schedule highlights include:

Friday, Sept. 27

•    Allen Noble Hall of Fame Open House. Regular business hours.
•    Campus Tours. All day.
•    Honors College Friday Forum. Driscoll Hall. 3:30 p.m.
•    Boise ZOO Night. 6-9 p.m. Zoo Boise, Julia Davis Park.

Saturday, Sept. 28

•    Game Day Brunch with President Bob and Kathy Kustra and college deans. Time TBA. Grass Intramural Field. Ticketed event.
•    Football vs. Southern Miss. Time TBA. Bronco Stadium. Ticketed event. Those without tickets can watch the game free on the big screen at the Student Union.

Sunday, Sept. 29

•    Zumba on the Blue. 9-10 a.m. Bronco Stadium.
•    Touch the Turf. 10-11:30 a.m. Bronco Stadium.
•    Family Hike to Table Rock. 11:30 a.m. Shuttle leaves from Bronco Stadium. Register for the hike at the Welcome Station.
